1. Product
Jiwami is Windows desktop software for Japanese study. It uses content you provide, such as video, subtitles, EPUB books, text, supported streaming URLs, manga, and pictures, to generate study decks and related files.
2. License
Jiwami is licensed, not sold. After purchase and while your license is valid, you may use Jiwami for your own lawful study and productivity. You may not resell, sublicense, redistribute, share license access, remove licensing controls, or use the product to violate law or third-party rights.
3. Your content
You are responsible for the media, subtitles, books, text, images, dictionaries, URLs, and other materials you use with Jiwami. Jiwami does not give you ownership, redistribution rights, or other permissions for third-party content.
4. Purchases and billing
Purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record for checkout, payment processing, sales tax, refunds, chargebacks, receipts, order recovery, and subscription billing. Lemon Squeezy's buyer terms and privacy policy apply to the payment and order data it controls.
5. Plans
Monthly and annual plans renew until canceled. Lifetime is a one-time purchase. Under the current live license policy, lifetime licenses stay in a 60-day provisional refresh window before settling into durable lifetime entitlement. Pricing can change for future purchases or renewals, but completed purchases are not retroactively repriced.
6. Refunds and cancellations
Use Lemon order emails, Lemon billing pages, Lemon My Orders, or support@jiwami.com for billing and refund requests. Canceling a subscription stops future renewals. Refunds and chargebacks end the related Jiwami entitlement under the live license policy.
7. Privacy and local data
Deck generation runs on your machine. Jiwami does not upload your media, subtitles, books, manga, pictures, raw text, local dictionaries, generated decks, cache, or config to a remote card-generation service.
8. Online services
Jiwami uses network access for purchase flow, license activation, license refresh, deactivation, update checks, update downloads, support email, supported streaming URLs you provide, and first manga setup. License and update requests can include license key data, device key identifiers, device proof data, device name, app version, plan, entitlement, release, activation, refresh, and deactivation state.
9. Third-party services
Jiwami uses third-party infrastructure for the public website, licensing/update service, checkout, tax, order recovery, file delivery, and support email routing. The pricing page uses hosted Lemon checkout links, not Lemon overlay script or checkout iframes. When you use supported external URLs, those external services may receive normal requests from your machine.
10. Retention and privacy requests
Jiwami keeps licensing, update, support, and anti-abuse records for as long as needed to operate the product, handle support, protect purchases, meet bookkeeping needs, and prevent fraud or abuse. For access, correction, or deletion requests for data Jiwami controls, email support@jiwami.com and say it is a privacy request.
11. Updates and availability
Jiwami can change over time. Features, supported inputs, user interface, pricing, licensing rules, downloads, and compatibility may be updated, limited, replaced, or removed. Some releases may require upgrading before the app can continue receiving license or update decisions.
12. Acceptable use
You may not use Jiwami for unlawful conduct, rights infringement, malware distribution, credential abuse, license bypass, payment bypass, access restriction bypass, or distribution of content you do not have the right to distribute.
13. Disclaimer and liability
Jiwami is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jiwami makes no warranty that the site, services, or software will be error-free, uninterrupted, compatible with every workflow, or fit for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jiwami will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, data-loss, profit-loss, business-loss, or goodwill-loss damages.
14. Changes and contact
